Maintenance Assistants, Summer Student Employment USIB Maintenance Department

 

 

Duties Include:

 

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor – the 2 workers will:

 

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance such as general upkeep which includes painting,

 

  • Clearing drain pipes and ditches,

 

  • Yard work (watering grass around the Administration, Health and Family Centre buildings)

 

  • Mowing lawns,

 

  • Hauling garbage

 

  • Complete water sampling

 

  • Helping the Elders with wood splitting, stacking in the woodshed

 

  • Getting bottled water to the Elders

 

  • Yardwork for the elders, fire prevention including mowing lawns, making sure any debris is 30 feet or more from homes

 

Proficiencies Required:

 

Able to work with others and take direction Strong verbal, written- communication skills Punctual and Reliable

Willing to work outdoors

Willing to work in any weather conditions

 

 

Pay rate will be $15.65 per hour, 37.5 hours weekly Start date: July 18 – August 26, 2022
