INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING:  PLEASE NOTE – All athletes must be registered in our Team BC registration system prior to APRIL 2, 2023 in order to be eligible for selection to Team BC.

  1. Go to our Team BC registration system (Xplor, formerly PerfectMind) and set up a member profile.
  2. Proceed to the Expression of Interest application and fill this out.
  3. Go to the sport(s) that you are interested in and fill out the application for that sport.
  4. Refer to your athlete selection document at the bottom of this webpage as to the dates when scores and other materials must be uploaded to your profile.

NAIG WRESTLING EVENT:

The NAIG Wrestling competition consists of both male and female individual competition for following age and weight classes. Participants born in 2004 to 2008 are eligible.

Each Province, Territory and State is allowed to enter two (2) male and two (2) female athletes per weight division for each age group.

Team BC is excited to participate in the following 13 sports:3D Archery, Athletics (Track & Field). Badminton, Basketball, Canoe/Kayak, Golf, Lacrosse (Box), Rifle Shooting, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Volleyball, Wrestling.

Pre-Employment Skills Training Program April 17 – 21, 2023 in Hope, BC

LandSea Camp Services and Transmountain Expansion Project are pleased to co-host the Pre-Employment Work Skills Training Program from April 17 – 21, 2023. 

 

This 5-day experiential training program is open to Indigenous people only who want to learn more about careers in remote camp hospitality services.   The program is offered at no cost to qualifying participants and will be held on-site at our Sqemel Lalem camp (near Hope, BC).  All meals and accommodation are included.

 

Participants can expect to gain the following valuable skills/training:

  • Food Safe Training and certification (paid for by us)
  • Hands-on training in the use of kitchen equipment, cooking methods and nutrition
  • Health and Safety in the workplace, including WHMIS training
  • Job-shadowing and professional development
  • Camp specific policies and roles

 

Upon completion, participants will receive a Certification of Completion in Hospitality Training.  All participants will be invited to apply and work for LandSea at the same camp (Sqemel Lalem) where they have just completed their training!

 

Important Enrollment Information

 

  1. Participants must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test (we will organize and pay for this).  Please note this will be 13 panel drug test which includes identifying the following drugs (cocaine, THC, etc).
  2. Bring your own laptop for training purposes.
  3. Have non-slip black shoes and black pants (we will provide the other uniform pieces).
  4. Be 19 years or older and reside in BC.
  5. Have your own transportation to camp.
